Job Summary:

As a Sr. Sourcing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our organization's procurement and supplier management strategies. This position involves developing, implementing, and overseeing sourcing initiatives to secure high-quality goods and services while driving cost savings and supplier performance improvement. The role will focus primarily on the sourcing of containers, tags and labels, and packaging. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, lead supplier negotiations, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the procurement process aligns with the company's objectives.


Duties/Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing plans aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess their performance to ensure a reliable and competitive supplier base.

Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and agreements while maintaining positive supplier relationships.

Continuously analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses.

Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, focusing on collaboration, communication, and mutual success.

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.

Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and collaborate with quality control teams to resolve any issues promptly.

Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers to protect the interests of the organization.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions.

Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, finance, and logistics to align sourcing strategies with broader business objectives.

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, delivery, quality, and cost.

Ensure suppliers adhere to ethical and sustainability standards and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills to secure favorable terms.

Proficiency in data analysis to assess supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams effectively.

Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with suppliers.

Ability to identify and address sourcing challenges and supply chain disruptions.

Effective project management skills to oversee sourcing initiatives.

Commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.

Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management roles.

Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) may be advantageous but are not always required.
