Our client, a leader in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Research is hiring an IT Support Technician to join their team in Rensselaer, NY


**This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits** (contract-to-hire)


As the IT Support Technician, you will install, configure, and troubleshoot server and non-desktop computer hardware, lab instruments, lab equipment, software, systems, and other resources in a data center or other centralized computer network setting.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical skill and judgment to assist in technical support for computer/data center operations
  • Maintain access control, data integrity, and file system security for the computer/data center environment
  • Recommends process, hardware, and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center efficiency
  • May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects
  • Communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel


Desired Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a Laboratory environment
  • AA or BA Degree in Computer Science
  • MS Office - Excel, Outlook, Word, etc
  • Laboratory instrument or equipment experience
  • Prior experience with ServiceNow & Active Directory
  • Customer service oriented
