Will be responsible for providing exceptional legal services, assisting in the preparation and review of legal documents, and providing attorney support in a high-paced and dynamic legal environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation and review of new and ongoing matters as needed to solve problems and execute client goals;
  • Drafting, revision, and review of legal documents, with meticulous attention to detail required, for documents including, but not limited to: deeds, covenants, agreements, contracts, due diligence materials, water court filings, wills, and memoranda;
  • Providing legal support directly and indirectly to clients using a wide range of communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Collaborating with attorneys and paralegals in a team environment to effectively distribute work, ensure deadlines are met, and resolve ongoing legal matters;
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in local, state, and federal law;
  • Performing legal research for developments in common law; and
  • Other roles and responsibilities as requested by the managing partner(s) of the law firm.


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from a nationally accredited law school;
  • License in good standing to practice law in the State of Colorado;
  • A background in transactional law with 2-10+ years of direct experience preferred;
  • The ability and desire to relocate to Steamboat Springs or its outlying areas;
  • Strong organizational skills and a self-starter with the ability to work independently;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as needed to effectively communicate regarding legal matters to a wide variety of audiences;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mind, and dedication to providing high-quality legal services; and
  • Strong reading, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Civil litigation experience is highly desirable, but not required.


License Requirements:

  • Colorado Bar.
