RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY - CALIFORNIA STATE PRISON, SACRAMENTO This position is located at California State Prison, Sacramento (SAC) in Represa, CA. Located next door to Old Folsom Prison, California State Prison - Sacramento (SAC) is a licensed health care facility that provides patient services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Folsom is a family friendly city, which touts nationally recognized schools, recreational activities, fine dining, premium shopping, and access to an expansive network of hiking trails near the American River and Folsom Lake. Job Description And Duties Under the direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the supervision of the Correction Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF), the Radiologic Technologist, CF instructs and prepares patients for radiologic examinations and takes x-rays for a variety of body structures. The Radiologic Technologist maintains equipment and quarters and keeps records and files. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services. Either I: Two years of experience, including training in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist. Or II: Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American College of Radiology.
