Philadelphia, United States Cadent Full time

Cadent connects the TV advertising ecosystem. We help advertisers and publishers identify and understand audiences, activate campaigns, and measure what matters – across any TV content or device. Aperture, our converged TV platform, simplifies cross-screen advertising through a streamlined workflow that brings together identity, data, and inventory with hundreds of integrated partners. For more information, visit cadent.tv.

The Cadent Product team is seeking an ambitious, experienced, and highly technical Senior Product Manager to contribute to a cycle of rapid growth and expansion of the Aperture platform. Leveraging data driven decision making and your in-depth knowledge of the programmatic ad tech ecosystem, you will manage feature development from concept to delivery and partner with other business leaders to solve problems and bring unique solutions to market.

About you:

  • You are a collaborative and proactive team player. You have experience working closely with engineering, product, data science, operations, business development, and client success teams to deliver solutions to customers.
  • You are a great listener, communicator, and problem-solver.
  • You enjoy working with data to discover patterns, solve problems, document trends, and find insights that lead to better products.
  • You understand the programmatic AdTech ecosystem: DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, DMPs, ad servers, and ad verification platforms.
  • You thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • You are flexible and can quickly adapt to change.
  • You stick with a problem until it is solved.

What you will do:

  • Serve as agile product owner for Cadent’s proprietary ad exchange, Aperture MX (AMX).
  • Manage the AMX product backlog in Jira and communicate development priorities throughout the development lifecycle to stakeholders.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for AMX. Answer product questions from sales, marketing, and operations as needed. Contribute to RFI and RFP responses as requested.
  • Investigate data problems related to AMX and make recommendations for resolution. Work directly with clients as needed to resolve discrepancies.
  • Write detailed product requirements, use cases, workflows, UX and business rules to describe how new features will work. Ensure that the features delivered address the business needs.
  • Support the QA team through reviewing test cases and conducting product acceptance testing.
  • Answer ad hoc business questions related to the exchange (inventory availability, who is buying, availability of user-matched traffic, etc.)
  • Provide regular updates on development progress, milestones, deliverables, and issues.
  • Facilitate meetings with end users and other key stakeholders to review concepts, requirements, roadmaps, and expectations.
  • Conduct competitive, market, and user research to ensure product decisions are based on sound use of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Conduct product demos and new feature demos to internal teams and clients as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ever-changing programmatic advertising space, including issues surrounding consumer privacy and regulations.

Required Skills and Background:

  • 5 years of experience in a product or technical role in online advertising.
  • Deep knowledge of programmatic advertising technology for display, online video, mobile, and CTV (DSPs, DMPs, exchanges, ad verification systems, ad servers, and SSPs).
  • Solid knowledge of the Open RTB specification, JSON, and consumer identifiers (device IDs, cookies, IP addresses, etc.)
  • Experience with extracting data from a RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres or similar) for reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to create granular reports from data using internal proprietary tools.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel – pivot tables, chart making, vlookup, etc.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner in writing, verbally, and interpersonally, within all levels of the company.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field or engineering.
