The Office of the Chief Medical Officers is responsible for the clinical performance of the respective lines-of-businesses. The Executive Assistant will report to the VP, CMO, Commercial Markets, and will also support the VP, CMO, Medicare. In this role you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the office of the executives. The EA also serves as a liaison to the executive leadership team; monitors and responds to emails, heavy scheduling and calendaring meetings; organizes and coordinates executive outreach; and oversees special projects.In this role you will need to be creative, agile and nimble, and enjoy working in an environment that is member-driven, results-driven, and service oriented.The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment and a high level of discretion, with strong written and verbal communication, scrupulous administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain balance among multiple competing priorities. The EA position requires the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment on projects from inception to completion and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.This is a Hybrid position which requires 2 days onsite per week at any BSC office.ResponsibilitiesYour WorkIn this role, you will:Carry out administrative, analytical or procedural tasks with high degree of autonomyHandle administrative matters, in the absence of, or on behalf of, the executivesProvide administrative oversight of third-party relationships through implementation of designated systems, routine monitoring of performance, and tracking of goods and/or servicesServe as administrative liaison between manager and direct reports and others within and outside the organizationManage day-to-day organization of executives calendars, appointments, meetings, and related schedulesOrganize and support business line events and meetingsCoordinate any on-site activities, as the need arisesProviding meeting support, including attending the meeting, running slides, and taking minutesHas a strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; research required information or background on organizations and individuals; prepares travel arrangements, expense reports, plans/coordinates and ensures the senior executive's schedule is followed and respected; acts in a "gatekeeper" capacity, creating win-win situations for direct access to the executiveQualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 3 years of prior relevant experienceMust have excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to design, set up and manage internal processes and protocolsMust manage collaboratively and thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment; must possess a positive, can-do attitude and value continuous professional developmentMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and work with a sense of urgency while applying well-honed attention to detailExpert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic communications, and technical savviness are requiredABOUT USAs of January 2025, Blue Shield of California became a subsidiary of Ascendiun.
