ELECTRICIAN

CM Corp Facilities Service has an opportunity for an experienced service electrician. This position will serve as a lead electrician for our growing team in Southern California. We specialize in repair, maintenance and special projects for large companies with multiple locations. Our team is comprised of multiple trades working together to provide seamless service to our clients with a high standard of quality and communication. Our lead tradesmen work closely with management to learn the next level of service while providing their team with guidance on technical issues and best practices. At CM Corp Facilities we strive to make sure everyone feels empowered to provide the best possible service to our clients through proper support and training. Our lead tradesmen play a vital role in helping the company grow through top-level services and guiding the next generation of service providers.


Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of local building codes for related trades and electrical.
  • Read electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiar with layout out a job, delegating, and managing small crews up to 4 men.
  • Receive, inventory and store materials at jobsite in orderly fashion.
  • Install conduits and cable, transformers, distribution panels, and power pedestals.
  • Layout and troubleshoot lighting control systems including Lutron, Wattstopper and nLight.
  • Use of power tools to drill, cut, or remove concrete, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, fiberglass, drywall, and plastics.
  • Trouble shoot and test existing systems for faults, shorts, low voltage or other problems.
  • Use of all common test equipment, including meggar test, ammeter, voltmeter, ohm meter, circuit tracer, telephone test set, telephone toner, power quality analyzer.
  • Familiar with starters, contactors and transformer installations.
  • Proper connection of single and three phase transformers, including voltage tap adjustment.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding work completed or recommended repairs/upgrades.
  • Locate and quote replacement parts as needed.
  • Familiar with budgeting costs for completion or return service calls (i.e. labor hours, material, equipment needs.
  • Work with others to ensure a high quality of workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate records, and familiar with red-lines, single lines and as-built submittals.
  • Maintain a company provided service vehicle (keep it clean, stocked, and maintained).


Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation, and ability to travel
  • 5+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
  • CA Driver License (Required)
  • Electrical Journeyman Certification or C-10 License (Required)

Salary Range is between $38-$46 an hour depending on project and leadership experience.
