Accounting TechnicianThe Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for an Accounting Technician 1 (Marine Mammal Accounting Technician 1) located in FairbanksWhat you will be doing:This position will assist the Arctic Marine Mammal Program within the Division of Wildlife Conservation in Fairbanks. Individual desk space is provided within a shared office with minimal privacy.Who we are looking for:We are looking for an individual with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications such as State of Alaska IRIS, Microsoft Office, including Excel, TEAMs and Outlook, databases, and other automated systems to accomplish work.Strong written, verbal, and detail-oriented communication skills with the ability to communicate information.Ability to remain organized with accounting processes, email management, and trackers; be thorough when performing work and display of a high level of effort and commitment.Attention to detail while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurately entering data into multiple systems, reviewing documents, processing and routing to necessary staff.Time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities from several sources while working independently with minimal supervision.Special Note: A valid driver's license is required.Required Documents:If selected, please provide the following at the time of the interview:3 professional referencesA cover letter is NOT required for this position.
