Industrial Engineer

Job Description:

  • Track manufacturing productivity and cost performance for the plant.
  • Conduct times studies and process modeling on new and existing processes to improve accuracy of internal capacity planning tools.
  • Assist plant controller with cost, labor, material, waste, and WIP analysis.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Material and routings in MRP/costing system.
  • Work with plant leadership in identifying opportunities (e.g. equipment, materials, methods, layouts) to drive higher production, quality, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Assist plant controller in plant inventory process to ensure accurate valuation at month-end.
  • Ensure all cost standards at plant are accurate. Responsible for plant’s annual manufacturing budgeting process.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, Quality Control, and Six Sigma strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in industrial or systems engineering
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience
  • Understand standard cost and job improvements
  • Have strong project management skills
  • Have strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Be strongly proficient in spreadsheet and database applications
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
