Job description


Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to provide essential support in daily living activities. The ideal candidate will assist clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping others and possess a diverse skill set to cater to various needs.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to ensure dietary needs are met.
Provide medication administration as required, ensuring compliance with prescribed schedules.
Maintain a clean and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety during transitions.
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities to enhance their quality of life.
Assist with memory care techniques for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
Provide hospice care support as necessary, ensuring comfort and dignity for clients in need.

Skills

Proficient cooking skills to prepare healthy meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
Knowledge of resident rights to ensure dignity and respect in all interactions.
Certification in First Aid to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Experience with medication administration protocols for safe management of client medications.
Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living space for clients.
Familiarity with hospice care practices, providing compassionate support during end-of-life care.
Background in home health services, understanding the unique needs of clients in their homes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting clients with mobility challenges.
Experience in memory care strategies to support cognitive function and engagement.
