Experienced Floral Designer

Summary We are seeking an experienced Floral Designer to join our dynamic Floral team. In this role, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service while showcasing your artistic talents in creating beautiful and inspiring flower arrangements. Great customer service and retail experience needed. In shop work includes customer service, answering phones, taking floral orders, flower cleaning and processing, custom floral design, stocking, general cleaning and other projects. Out of shop work may include floral deliveries and set up. Must be able to lift minimum 15 up to 40 pounds. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and attention to detail Create floral arrangements based on customer requests and budget Curate new and modern floral designs Take orders over the phone and in person; process payments Handle and process flowers; clean and organize the work area Receive and organize inventory Ensure displays are clean, well-maintained and stocked Maintain cleanliness of the department and equipment Handle deliveries and setup when needed Answer telephones with proper etiquette Keep supplies stocked and ensure accurate pricing and signage Regular, reliable attendance is required Qualifications • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude • Strong communication skills with customers and coworkers • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to learn product knowledge and follow procedures • Effective time management, strong work ethic, and integrity • Demonstrated merchandising skills • Ability to answer customer questions clearly and service-oriented • Flexible schedule availability (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays) • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job • Floral delivery drivers must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record • Floral designers must have 5+ years of experience EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school graduate or GED. Excellent customer service skills. Prior floral shop experience a plus. Floral designers must have 5+ years design experience in a retail floral setting. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from other managers, store managers, vendors & customers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Strong basic math skills including the ability to add, multiply, divide, subtract and calculate percentages REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems.
