Bookkeeper

Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Bookkeeper on behalf of our client, who designs and manufactures custom cabinets and control systems for electrical distribution, delivering pre-wired and factory-tested units that streamline installation. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting a transition from QuickBooks to Sage, and ensuring data integrity throughout the process. The Bookkeeper will play a key part in streamlining financial workflows and supporting informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and manage financial data within QuickBooks; ensure accurate and up-to-date records. Support the company's transition from QuickBooks to Sage, ensuring both systems run properly during the transition period. Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy and consistency. Conduct data analytics tasks, including tracking payments, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues proactively. Perform reconciliations across accounts and financial records. Complete cleanup tasks within QuickBooks as needed to support accurate reporting. Review and analyze large sets of numerical data to support financial integrity and decision-making. Requirements Include:Education: High school diploma required; associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks (expert-level proficiency required). Experience supporting or participating in accounting system transitions is a plus. Skills: Expert QuickBooks skills. Strong data entry accuracy and speed. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in account reconciliation. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Certifications: QuickBooks certification preferred but not required. Accounting or bookkeeping-related certifications are a plus. Knowledge: Understanding of general accounting principles. Familiarity with financial data analytics. Knowledge of Sage or prior exposure to accounting system migrations is beneficial. Key Competencies: Strong numerical aptitude and comfort working with large data sets. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information. Adaptability during system transitions and process changes.
