Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian to join their Ditmas Park, Brooklyn clinic as Medical Director. This leadership role combines hands-on clinical practice with medical oversight, offering the opportunity to guide medical standards, mentor associate veterinarians, and help cultivate a positive, high-performing hospital culture. The Medical Director partners closely with the Clinic Manager and regional leadership to ensure excellent patient care, strong team collaboration, and an outstanding client experience. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this role maintains an active presence in clinical care, leading by example and reinforcing best practices throughout the clinic. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about mentorship, quality medicine, and building engaged, supportive veterinary teams within a modern, technology-driven practice. Qualifications Needed: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD or equivalent) Active or eligible New York State veterinary license 3-5+ years of small animal clinical experience preferred 1+ year of leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills Compensation & Benefits Package: Base salary: $165,000 - $185,000 Annual Medical Director stipend: $15,000 Total compensation up to $200,000+, depending on experience Flexible employment and scheduling options No overnight shifts and no overnight hospitalizations Continuing education stipend plus additional CE time off 401(k) with partial employer match Generous paid time off Paid parental leave (up to 16 weeks) Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Mental health and wellness resources Commuter benefits and in-clinic pet care discounts
