Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian Job Brooklyn, New York,USA

The Medical Director partners closely with the Clinic Manager and regional leadership to ensure excellent patient care, strong team collaboration, and an outstanding client experience. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this role maintains an active presence in clinical care, leading by example and reinforcing best practices throughout the clinic.
This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about mentorship, quality medicine, and building engaged, supportive veterinary teams within a modern, technology-driven practice.
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD or equivalent)
- Active or eligible New York State veterinary license
- 3-5+ years of small animal clinical experience preferred
- 1+ year of leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills
- Base salary: $165,000 - $185,000
- Annual Medical Director stipend: $15,000
- Total compensation up to $200,000+, depending on experience
- No overnight shifts and no overnight hospitalizations
- Continuing education stipend plus additional CE time off
