We are seeing a talented and experienced Digital Asset Specialist/Archivist to join our dynamic team for 6 months to build a full-digital archive and library of all Virgin Galactic photography, videography and graphic based assets wo they are organized and accessible.


You will report to the Director Brand Marketing and Creative and will work with the production, design and brand marketing team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for digital asset management and experience in designing, organizing and executing best practices for asset libraries and archives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the acquisition, cataloguing, organization, and protection of all digital assets, with a primary focus on managing large video files, including raw footage and edited videos.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based file storage infrastructure for effective 2-way system between Orange County & New Mexico.
  • Develop and implement robust digital asset management processes and workflows tailored to the needs of post-production studios.
  • Collaborate with post-production teams to ensure seamless integration of digital asset management practices into existing workflows.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of digital assets through the implementation of best practices in data protection and access control.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive metadata schemas to facilitate efficient search and retrieval of digital assets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and enforce policies for the use and distribution of digital assets, including intellectual property and marketing materials.
  • Monitor and track usage rights for digital assets to ensure compliance with copyright and licensing agreements
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on digital asset management tools and practices.
  • Resolve any issues related to digital assets and assist with technical support when needed
  • Relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure timely delivery and quality of digital assets



Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Manager or Digital Asset Manager, with a minimum of 2 years experience maintaining a DAM.
  • Manager will be expected to be hands on, highly familiar with art, a/v, and digital filetypes, and to have experience managing asset libraries within industry or organizations with high volume a/and digital assets.
  • Knowledge of digital asset management, and best practices in media organization.
  • Experience as an Editor
  • Experience building a library from scratch
  • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
