Accounting Manager Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and play a key role in strengthening accounting processes, managing a small team, and supporting strategic initiatives. Title: Accounting Manager Location: Marlton, NJ (Hybrid - 1-2 days per month onsite after training) Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 annual salary Employment Type: Direct Hire Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO/Sick Time. About the Opportunity: Our client is a mission-driven healthcare organization committed to providing high-quality behavioral and medical care. Under the leadership of a new CFO, the organization is modernizing its accounting and revenue cycle operations - making this an exciting time to join and contribute to meaningful change. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity to maintain integrity of financial data. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses. Collaborate with operations and revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and AR processes. Support process improvement initiatives and assist in developing stronger internal controls and reporting practices. Coordinate annual budget preparation and assist with external audits and tax filings. Supervise and mentor two accounting staff members; assist with hiring and performance evaluations. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and executive-level reporting for leadership. Participate in special projects and assist the CFO with strategic financial planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and month-end close. Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger management, and account reconciliations. Prior experience in healthcare, hospital, or physician group accounting strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Leadership experience (formal or informal) and a desire to grow into a management role. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting systems. Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
