Job Description: We are seeking a skilled L2 System Administrator to join our dynamic team at a leading MSP in Richmond, Virginia. As an L2 System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' IT infrastructures, ensuring their systems are operational, secure, and efficient.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and server-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and system updates.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and uptime.
  • Collaborate with L1 support teams and escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Document system configurations, changes, and upgrades.
  • Implement security measures to protect systems and data.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role (2+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Hands-on experience with networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
