Transportation LeadLocated in Houston, TX, Morales Beverage Group seeks a Transportation Lead for the San Marcos location. We have a competitive compensation package with a wide range of benefits for full-time employees.Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, the Transportation Lead plays a key leadership role within the delivery team. In addition to performing all duties of a delivery driver, this position is responsible for supporting the coordination, training, and oversight of other drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. The Transportation Lead will serve as a mentor and first point of contact for drivers in the field, and will help enforce safety, compliance, and customer service standards in alignment with MBG values.All-In: Being Accountable; If it's to be, it's up to me.People: Growing and building partnerships within a family dynamic.Future Thinking: Innovative and disruptive in our approach.Leadership & OversightAct as a point of contact for delivery drivers, offering guidance, support, and on-the-job training.Assist the Transportation Supervisor in organizing daily driver assignments and routes.Monitor team performance, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, safety regulations, and company policies.Provide feedback on driver performance and contribute to performance reviews.Step in to resolve customer or delivery issues when escalated beyond standard protocol.Maintain accurate reporting on route completion, issues encountered, and team updates.Delivery OperationsSafely transport goods to designated customer locations according to schedule. Overnight stays may be required.Assist with efficient loading/unloading of goods using hand jacks, forklifts, ramps, etc.Serve as a customer service model: represent MBG professionally and courteously during all deliveries.Ensure thorough documentation including inventory logs, invoices, signatures, and receipts.Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report mechanical issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles.Support warehouse/logistics teams with inventory accuracy and delivery prep.Behavior & Communication ExpectationsA high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this roleEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, department leaders and executive leadership with the purpose of:Always being approachableBeing known as a trusted resource for knowledge and guidanceDesire to deliver excellence Always looking for the very best product in what we doLiving Above the Line Exhibiting ownership, accountability and responsibilityEngaged Ensuring we all care about MBG and the work we do, from the top - downResponsive We do what we say in a timely mannerRespected As professionals, we are known for accuracy in all we say and doConfident Trust in our ability to be successful and make good decisionsCompetenciesTeam Leadership: Encourages collaboration, mentors team members, and inspires others to contribute to shared goals.Decision Quality: Makes timely, well-informed decisions independently by using sound judgment and logical reasoning.Situational Awareness: Accurately assesses people and environments; adapts communication and behavior to fit the situation effectively.Training & Development: Actively supports onboarding and ongoing training by sharing knowledge and reinforcing best practices.Problem Solving: Demonstrates a hands-on approach to resolving delivery challenges; leads by example with practical, solution-oriented thinking.Planning & Priority Setting: Maintains efficiency by keeping the team on schedule and managing routes with clear priorities and structured planning.RequirementsPhysical RequirementsLift 50100 lbs regularly; carry lighter items (1025 lbs) frequently.Prolonged walking, standing, driving, climbing stairs, entering/exiting vehicles.Ability to work in all weather conditions.Frequent physical movement: bending, lifting, stretching, kneeling, etc.Operate hand trucks, dollies, power jacks, and ramps safely and efficiently.QualificationsMust be at least 21 years of age.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum 12 years of delivery driving experience required; leadership experience preferred.Hold a valid and current Class B driver's license or higher and ensure reliable, insured transportation is maintained.Driving record must be within MVR policy guidelines throughout employment.Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment.Strong time management, customer service, and communication skills. Proficiency in using GPS systems and operating multiple mobile device platforms.This position requires flexibility, including but not limited to availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.Work location: 1600 Clovis Barker, Suite 101, San Marcos, TX 78666
