The role of the Logistics Administrator is to perform all duties associated with shipping finished goods to Nucor Rebar Fabrication customers. Duties will include, but are not limited to:/pulliEnsuring all Department of Transportation regulations are met by Nucor Rebar Fabrication drivers and contracted carriers/liliMaintaining strong relationships with carrier partners/liliProcuring contract carriers for shipments/liliScheduling deliveries with customers and carriers/liliNegotiating freight rates with carriers/liliCreating bills of lading in NRF systems and ensuring proper documentation are delivered to carriers/liliMaintaining communication through delivery/liliApproving and processing freight invoices/liliServing as administrative support in fleet maintenance/liliServing as backup to the division Scheduler/liliAny other tasks assigned by supervisor/li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3p High school diploma, GED, or local equivalent Willingness to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, weekends, holidays, and hours outside of normal business hours, as business needs dictate At least one year experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)/ph3Preferred Qualifications/h3p Shipping experience, familiar with logistics, and warehouse management skills Self-starting, positive problem-solver always looking for work that needs to be done and ways to improve their work.
