Job Description At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people by solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Process Automation Engineer to join our talented team at our office located in our Burlington, MA office location. In this role, you will provide the project team with technical leadership, automation expertise, and instrumentation support for the design, engineering, construction, and qualification of Pharmaceutical and Biotech related projects. Position Responsibilities Demonstrates subject matter expertise by developing department standards and improving existing work practices. Manages and delegates tasks to meet project scope, schedule, and deadlines. Assists clients in strategic evaluations to develop concepts supported by engineering studies for expanding, improving, or automating existing facilities. Works with clients, other IPS disciplines, and vendors to develop complete Automation solutions. Consulting on the proper adoption of the ISA S95 levels to meet the clients needs now and in the future. Actively collaborate with the process design and project teams to support the execution of successful project studies. Develop the design and specifications for DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based process control systems for IPS clients and projects. Perform automation-related job functions as assigned, including, I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements. Support IQ/OQ development and participate in systems analysis, validation, and verification. Identify, qualify, and collaborate with third-party system integrators as necessary to support project and company business objectives. Work with end users and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to coordinate the application of automation products. Come join a caring, nimble team that delivers world-class designs for our pharmaceutical clients and take your career to new heights Qualifications & Requirements 10 years of diversified engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of industry requirements and applications within the Process Automation market. Bachelors degree in Engineering - ME/EE//ChemE/Automation/Manufacturing or equivalent degree from an accredited university. 3 years of experience with industrial process control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based systems. 4 years of experience with Pharmaceutical process instrumentation. Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting. Experienced with ISA standards and the interpretation of P&I drawings. Experience with the development of cGMP and GAMP automation lifecycle documents. Registered Professional Engineer preferred. Context, Environment, & Safety Travel based on the project location. This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other 'non-administrative' areas.
