We are searching for an important addition to its Griffin, GA team – an experienced Customer Service Planner with high energy, ambition, willingness to learn, and communication skills.


Job Scope: Providing superior, front-line customer service (both internally and externally) to customers. Key activities include receiving and processing customer orders, EDI Orders, website orders, inquiries, service complaints, forecast management, and managing the general customer service email. Proactively maintain an ongoing best-in-class relationship with customers and internal employees. The Customer Service Planner must be able to communicate cross-functionally to investigate, research and resolve exceptions and adjustments promptly and accurately. Individuals must be able to perform job duties in a manner that meets or exceeds performance metrics in support of exceptional best-in-class service to our customers. This position adds value by contributing and promoting harmony, growth and teamwork between the company and the Customers we serve.


Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Respond to all inquiries (e.g. order status, stock availability, request for documentation, etc.).
  • Follow-up on open inquiries and escalate issues to appropriate subject matter expert(s).
  • Review order reports for errors and take action to resolve issues identified.
  • Process credit notes or memos, Input orders.
  • Update customer information in order management system as appropriate.
  • Serve as communication link between customers, sales staff, logistics, and production.
  • Track order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems.


Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Minimum High School Diploma, Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years Customer Service experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, complex customer service environment in manufacturing is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel is required.
