Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager with a strong background in Continuous Improvement to lead our engineering, production, and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing large teams and significant CAPEX budgets, and will drive operational excellence through strategic initiatives and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Manage and provide leadership to a team of 6 direct reports and 500 indirect reports across engineering, production, and maintenance departments.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the plant.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve processes.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies and tools to identify and solve complex operational problems.
- Train and mentor team members in continuous improvement practices and methodologies.
- Engineering and Production:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules to meet customer demands and business objectives.
- Ensure the maintenance and reliability of all plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new technologies and processes.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Manage CAPEX budgets in the range of $5 to $10 million, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and monitor plant operating budgets to achieve financial goals.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a plant management role.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, with a proven track record of implementing successful initiatives.
- Experience managing CAPEX budgets between $5 to $10 million.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
