This is a full-time, day shift position in Charlottesville, VA, Monday to Friday, no nights or weekends. The Sentara Martha Jefferson Infusion Center offers a pleasant, professional atmosphere where patients can receive intravenous infusions and therapeutic injections. Our oncology-certified nurses are trained to administer chemotherapy, biological therapies, or supportive blood transfusions for cancer, as well as various infusions for non-cancer patients. This area has an average of 30 direct reports including the following roles: RN's (Infusion and Clinic) Front Office Team members Case managers Triage Nurses 5 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs) Why Sentara Martha Jefferson? Sentara Martha Jefferson has under a 12.6% RN Turnover rate. Patient Satisfaction scores are highest in the system at Martha Jefferson. Our Nursing staff are part of the Clinical Ladder Professional Advancement Program. Responsibilities: The Manager Patient Care Services-RN for the Medical Oncology and Infusion Center is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Models and leads professional practices consistent with organizational goals of safety, customer satisfaction, and quality for the area of expertise. Supervises staff, provides clinical/technical expertise, and engages in process improvements. Assists in the fiscal budgeting and management process for the department including billing/revenue management, payroll, purchasing, and supply cost management. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires, and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility. Requirements: Bachelor Level Degree- Nursing- BSN required, MSN Preferred 3 years of Healthcare Management Experience 3 years of Clinical Experience BLS within 90 days of hire Clinical experience within Medical Oncology and/or Infusion areas preferred. Experience in Ambulatory Clinic Management areas preferred Preferred Nationally recognized certifications: CNL (Clinical Nurse Leader) or CMNL (Nurse Manager and Leader) or similar certification areas.
