Job Summary

We are seeking an Oncology Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care to join our team at The US Oncology Network. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and families affected by cancer.

About the Role

As an Oncology Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing treatment for various types of cancers. Your primary focus will be on assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their unique needs and develop personalized care plans that address their medical, emotional, and social requirements.
  • Care Delivery: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and managing symptoms related to cancer treatment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare teams, including physicians, pharmacists, and other nurses, to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote informed decision-making and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in oncology nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in your state is required. Additionally, you should have basic life support (BLS) certification and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
