We’re looking to hire an Instructional Design Specialist for a dynamic and innovative team. You’ll be responsible for managing your own work under the guidance of a project lead, focusing approximately 90% of your time on design and development. This role involves creating and developing training materials from inception to execution for American Funds Service Groups (AFSG) client services-based departments. About the Role:

  • Collaborate with Project Leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, create, and develop training materials.
  • Focus on design and development within the ADDIE model, specifically for Design and Development phases.
  • Develop training materials in various modalities, including ILT/VILT, eLearning, self-paced, and virtual classroom formats.
  • Utilize Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Camtasia, and other tools for video development and editing.
  • Manage documents and materials using Microsoft Office 365 Suite and intermediate MS SharePoint Online experience.
  • Identify areas for improvement within training processes and technologies, and recommend solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Articulate 360 - Storyline and Rise
  • Experience with Camtasia for video development and editing
  • Ability to design and develop training content in ILT/VILT, eLearning, self-paced, and virtual classroom formats
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Intermediate experience with MS SharePoint Online (loading, checking in, and checking out documents)


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Captivate
  • Skills in Adobe Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Familiarity with the NovoEd Learning Platform
  • Graphic design experience
  • Experience with recording and editing audio
  • Knowledge of the ADDIE model, including Analysis, Implementation, and Evaluation phases
  • Experience in designing and developing assessments/tests


Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories, focusing on design and development
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work effectively in a timely manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Learning agility for adapting to new work assignments
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with local or remote teams
