Clinical Laboratory Director Opportunity

One of our clients in the region has engaged us to help them recruit a Lab Director to lead their growing team of healthcare professionals. They are dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovative laboratory services. Their cuttingedge facility offers comprehensive testing solutions and we are looking for a dynamic Clinical Lab Director to lead their exceptional team.

Position Overview:

The Clinical Lab Director will oversee all laboratory operations ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while delivering highquality results. This role demands a strong leader who can cultivate a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement in laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily laboratory operations including staff supervision budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA CAP and other regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor laboratory performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Lead a team of medical technologists technicians and support staff providing mentorship and training.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to interpret lab results and support clinical decisionmaking.
  • Stay current on industry trends technologies and best practices to keep the lab at the forefront of the field.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs to maintain laboratory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in clinical pathology or a related specialty.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a clinical laboratory with at least three recent years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory operations regulations and quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
