Matheson Tri-Gas operates a network of air separation plants throughout the southern United States that manufacture liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. The Logistics Planner is responsible for scheduling truckload deliveries of industrial gases to our Customers. Our Customers include hospitals, electronics companies, manufacturers, government agencies, and food processing companies. The position is located at the Logistics Center in Irving, TX, and reports to the Logistics Manager. Planning Supervisor - Foster safe working environment and work with Terminal Managers to maintain safety standards in the field. - Lead team of planners to schedule and plan industrial gas deliveries in the most efficient and cost effective manner. - Act as back-up for employee vacations and absences as needed. - Monitor Customer tank levels via tank telemetry systems and validate orders entered. - Communicate daily with terminal managers to assess driver/equipment availability and scheduling issues. - Review daily plant inventories and production rates to accurately balance shipment schedules. - Assist Logistics Managers with root cause analysis as a result of service interruptions. - Act as the subject matter expert and assist in developing best practices and training new employees. Qualifications - Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Office applications. - May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. - Must be able to be on-call 24/7. - Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment. - Call center experience is a plus but not a requirement. - Previous logistics experience in a related field is a plus but not a requirement. - High school equivalent degree required.
