Production Test Support Technician

The Production Test Support Technician supports production test, failure analysis and repair activities to achieve quality targets and on-time delivery of systems according to the overall production schedule. They provide first level support to the production team and act as a liaison with the Engineering and Diagnostic development teams. The work closely with the cross-functional production and management teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

What you'll do

  • MFG Test Validation
    • Validate MFG Test on production HW
    • Drive feedback loop \ process improvement
    • Create failure summary report
      • Identify HW failures vs Test Process induced failures (false fails)
      • Work with System Engineering and Diagnostic team to close all open test issues
  • NPI HW Test
    • Primary owner of NPI products in Test
    • Manage execution of Test Process
    • Provide daily updates of test status vs shipping plan
    • Drive all open test issues to closure
    • Provide Risk analysis and possible workarounds
  • System Test
    • Become SME for all execution of MFG Test
      • System updates and verification
      • Execution of system test scripts and process
  • Customer Acceptance Tests
    • Become SME and 1st line of support for end of line customer acceptance tests
    • Provide and maintain Golden Racks for development
    • Monitor Yields and Cycle times
      • Drive ongoing improvements with the Production team
    • Provide technical analysis for test issues and blockers
      • Low level debug and troubleshooting
      • High level summary reporting for ZT executives and customers
  • System Failure Analysis and Repair
    • Create failure summary reports – sort by priority – drive issues to closure
    • Troubleshooting of system errors for corrective actions
    • Identify false failures being caused by the test process
    • Provide feedback to manufacturing for process improvement
  • Sustaining Support
    • Provide ongoing support and training for test and repair of MP products
  • Issue Resolution
    • Manage/escalate issues impacting systems in test and communicate to:
      • Peer technicians
      • Lead
      • Supervisor
  • Continuous Improvement / 5S Support
    • Work with extended team to identify and execute process improvements / 5S actions:
      • Peer technicians
      • Leads
      • Supervisors
      • Manager
      • Engineering

What you bring:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task

Competencies

  • Possess a high level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work across engineering and production teams
  • Ability to communicate issues verbally and in writing to all levels of employees

Education

  • High school diploma or higher in a related discipline and/or equivalent related work experience
  • Associates degree in IT, or related discipline is beneficial but not required
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are beneficial but not required

Experience

  • Configuration experience of Microsoft OS VISTA/WIN7/Server/Office suite and basic Linux
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • 1 year PC system related hardware or networking experience is beneficial but not required
