Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing appropriate medications and therapies
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, ensuring optimal outcomes
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic and empathetic environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and integrate medical and behavioral health services
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Conduct regular follow-up visits to assess treatment efficacy and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in psychiatric care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in clinical meetings and case reviews
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program
- Current and valid state nursing license as a Nurse Practitioner with specialization in Psychiatry
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Proven experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients and their families
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills to provide effective and safe patient care
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mental health conditions
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards in healthcare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Willingness to contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
