Optomi, in partnership with a media leader, is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to assist with the management of Live and Linear airings across the streaming spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Craft web application software using REACT, with strong software development fundamentals and strong design principles (object oriented or functional)
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Build quality products
  • Provide on-call rotational support as needed


Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience in programming with Frontend UI development and proficient with one or more general purpose programming languages (Python, Java, Javascript, etc)
  • Desire to work in a start-up, fast-growth, or rapid-change environment
  • Problem-solving skills to identify the root cause
  • Solid communication skills – written, and oral
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and git source control
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience using technologies/services such as Terraform, Jenkins, Docker
  • Experience with React, Angular, NodeJS
  • Experience building APIs
  • Experience building high availability UIs with complex security requirements
