Job description
As a Machine Vision Sales Engineer you will be responsible for assigned accounts, prospecting new accounts, and overall sales and account demand and growth.
Candidates will participate in a training period prior to managing and expanding an independent customer portfolio that includes current clients and developing a rapport and business with new customers. You will be responsible for achieving a specified margin and sales targets. Candidates will map DMUs and determine growth objectives and visit frequencies. The Sales Engineer-Customer relationship must be viewed as a competent partnership to ensure the best service and efficiency in the Machine Vision and Factory Automation world. These adequate customer relationships will provide insights to identify commercial opportunities and solution-based concepts for consumers. The overall goal is not to meet customer expectations, but to exceed their expectations
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and presenting monthly reports and account plans.
- Analyze information and data to understand certain trends and related customer needs.
- Making (annual) price agreements with customers.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, suppliers, and customers to develop product requirements and specifications.
- Refine non-technical product evaluation criteria and create technical product evaluation process.
- Evaluate new products and applications.
- Assist and create formal RFQ/RFP response documentation for strategic opportunities.
- Assist sales professionals with on-site customer walk-throughs and product demonstrations
- Develop long-term business relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on OEMs and Distributors
- Pursue new projects and specifications while maintaining existing sales activity.
- Develop and implement sale plans to grow market share in responsible territory
- Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions and sales effectiveness.
- Provide forecasting for key accounts.
Job requirements
Maintain a purposeful attitude with the ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with members of industry to govern demand and growth and create an allure to the marketed audience. Experience in sales and account management (B2B) is necessary and experience and understanding of Machine Vision field and or in a comparable skillset is desired.
Candidate must have the ability to provide solution-oriented feedback with guided implementation as well as be self-disciplined, work systematically, and be goal oriented.
Desired Skills:
- Proven experience, preferably demonstrated with a completed commercial, business or technical education.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP and CRM systems.
- Analytical skills that enable you to make connections and act accordingly.
- Knowledge and/ or experience with Industrial Factory Automation Connectivity Market.
- Knowledge and/or experience within machine vision market and or industrial automation (strong advantage).
Location and Travel
- Candite ideally located at USA HQ in Woodridge, IL or remotely in their region for qualified candidates.
- Ability to travel to customers, Components Express HQ in Illinois, 2Connect facilities in Europe
