Certified Phlebotomist? We’re Hiring Responsibilities Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately. Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data. Decontaminate equipment and update patient information. Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously. Demonstrate techniques using straight and/or butterfly needles. Required Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment. Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. High School Diploma or GED. 2-4 years of experience. Work Environment The work hours are from 6 AM to 6/7 PM with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, and a rotating Saturday schedule from 6 AM to 12 PM. The role requires traveling between Valpo, LaPorte, and Knox, IN, with Valpo as the home base. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel. The future goal is to consolidate work to one site Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valparaiso, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
