Key Responsibilities:


  • In this position, work closely with DEVA IT GIS UN(Utility Network)
  • Teams to establish solutions to make them successful, broaden the effect of GIS UN within DEVA and help shape the evolution of the UN solution
  • While promoting the use of Esri technology to enable success and support its configuration development in Desktop, Mobile & Web deployment.
  • Help IT & GIS UN Teams translate requirements in GIS technology-driven solutions through the implementation of Esri’s enterprise GIS technology.
  • Collect, organize, and prepare use case requirements objectives, and workflows to translate into meaningful design build and test plans.
  • Analyze and interpret business and technical problems and distill them into manageable and practical solutions or tasks.
  • Provide GIS technical guidance and advice.
  • Support and Lead project teams during requirements, analysis, design, build, and rollout
  • Support external DEVA subcontractors’ requirements tasks.
  • Support Manage subcontractors, GIS Engaged Providers with relationships and project expectations.


Key Requirements and Technology Experience:


  • Significant, proven experience applying GIS technology within electric and gas utilities sector.
  • Domain expertise throughout the electric and gas utilities including electric and/or gas distribution and transmission, substation.
  • Experience with Esri products (Pro, Online, Portal, ArcGIS Utility Network) to solve complex business problems.
  • Experience with desktop, client/server, and Internet applications, and architectures
  • Familiarity with RDBMS and geodatabase design techniques and concepts
  • Demonstrated professional experience applying electric and gas utilities GIS data management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies
  • + Experience in the integration of ArcGIS with common utility enterprise systems, such as: asset management, work management, network analysis, Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), Outage Management Systems (OMS), customer information
  • + Knowledgeable of utility workflows and how they are applied through GIS, example: inspection & integrity management, asset management, right-of-way corridor, design, construction, network analysis, integration with other systems(SAP/WMS).
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the Information Technology teams' knowledge of and concern for the customer's business needs.
