The Services Business Development team is looking for a Director, Specialist Sales-Loyalty to drive growth of our value-added services within the Loyalty space. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of selling to senior executives, navigating matrixed organizations, and utilizing solution-based selling to drive clear value for customers.As Director, you will lead strategic client engagements and drive revenue growth for Mastercard's newest media innovation. Commerce Media is a digital advertising platform built on Mastercard's global payments infrastructure, enabling advertisers and financial institutions to deliver personalized campaigns using permissioned transaction data. You'll be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, and building partnerships across retail, travel, dining, and financial services. This role combines deep media expertise with data-driven performance marketing, offering clients measurable outcomes and up to 22x return on ad spend.RoleAs Director, Specialist Sales you will be responsible for generating new loyalty platform sales (specifically Mastercard Commerce Media) within the financial services segment in North America.Responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for a key set of prospect accounts within the region to secure multimillion-dollar, multi-year dealsBuild and develop an active pipeline, ultimately progressing to signed platform dealsArticulate the benefits of bundling our Loyalty Solutions products with other Data & Services products (Consulting, Managed Services, Test & Learn, Customer Data Enhancement, Labs as a Service, etc.)Strong communication and influencing skills, should be a compelling presenter to senior client audiences and able to influence large dealsAbility to seamlessly partner across our multiple internal sales, product management, program management and finance teams.Excellent problem solving and analytics skills and should be able to go head to head with internal stakeholders and customers alike with fact-based thinkingWill serve as the face of Mastercard Services, Loyalty to senior level client stakeholders, including c-suiteAll About YouExtensive media sales, digital advertising, or data-driven marketing, ideally within financial services, retail media networks, or performance marketing.Proven success in quota-carrying roles; hunter mentality with a consultative sales approachStrong commercial drive with ability to build and monetize senior client relationships based on empathy, thought leadership and subject matter expertiseStrategic software sales experience with expertise in CRM / Martech / Loyalty is an assetNever give up attitude, excellent at 'pounding the pavement' through email/phone cold outreachProgressively complex hunting sales preferably within Financial Services Segment; rolodex of C-Level / EVP / SVP contacts preferredAbility to thrive and build robust pipeline with limited lead generation supportStrong networker across relevant stakeholder base with the ability to listen, build common ground and influence in order to effectively advance business opportunities and generate revenuesStrong pipeline management and forecasting skillsTop-level sales skills (internally and externally) combined with strong negotiation capabilities required for large dealsMastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
