Control Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare electrical schematics and designs based on engineering specifications, utilizing CAD tools and programming software.
- Design custom machinery to meet specific customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure designs are optimized for production.
- Create electrical design concepts, panels, assembly drawings, and generate electrical bill of materials.
- Specify control equipment with a focus on safety, functionality, and equipment protection.
- Review sales orders, customer specifications, and related documents to ensure designs align with customer requirements.
- Prepare and manage necessary documentation, including partial releases, final releases, revisions, customer adjustments, approval prints, certified prints, and other forms in accordance with ISO standards.
- Work with plant and field representatives to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.
- Collaborate with other departments, providing support to Engineering, Customer Service, and Proposal teams.
- Partner with Mechanical Engineers on design and operational requirements.
- Expedite releases to meet delivery schedules or address machine issues.
- Design, implement, and test PLC and HMI programs.
- Coordinate with other departments to address challenges in aftermarket business, which may include parts classification, providing technical support to sales and customers, and updating or improving past designs to meet customer orders.
- Undertake special projects and additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Strong PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in programming PLCs and HMI software, particularly Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and C-more systems.
- Knowledge of UL, NFPA 70, 70E, & 79 standards.
- Familiarity with industrial controls, including sensors, motors, AC/DC drives, and servo controllers.
