POSITION SUMMARY
• The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading plant operations in meeting objectives as identified by the Parker Hannifin Corporate’s WIN Strategy.
• The Plant Manager will implement the Parker Lean system and strategy to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified workforce, and reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.
• Serves as the representative in local government matters related to the Plant and the Company.
• The Plant Manager will be accountable for Plant operations to achieve results identified by the Parker Hannifin Corporation’s Win Strategy.
• The Plant Manager will lead the Naples Team of empowered employees to continuously achieve and exceed customer expectations.
• Broad responsibility and leadership for overall Plant operations.
• The Plant Manager will oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES To profitably grow the business unit consistently and annually. Works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
• Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Leads by example.
• Leads strategy deployment for the business unit concentrating on lean initiatives, strategic pricing and strategic procurement. Leads Operating, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, Lean Accounting, Planning, Sales/Marketing and New Product Development functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
• Accountable for driving lean initiatives, strategic procurement and strategic pricing initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
• Develops a budget plan and manages the business unit within budget constraints.
• Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
• Represents the operation at the business unit and division levels.
• Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
• Ensures that the business unit conforms to local, state and federal government regulations. Promotes business unit within industry, manufacturing, trade associations and local community.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Required bachelor’s degree | Master’s or MBA degree is desired.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment and/or Aerospace
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving/resolution skills and a team focus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to Management, customers, and employees.
• Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills. Six Sigma preferred.
• This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S.
$175-185K base DOE, 17.5% annual bonus
