A Senior Quality Control Inspector ensures that products meet established standards by conducting inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing process. They inspect materials, parts, and products at various production stages, record observations, and may recommend process improvements. This role requires experience, judgment, and a certain degree of creativity.


Responsibilities:

• Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods (e.g., comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, examining functionality).

• Ensure adherence to standards and procedures on the assembly or production line.

• Review blueprints and specifications to compare them to produced goods.

• Record inspection results, complete reports, and input data into the quality database.

• Train the production team on quality control measures.

• Identify areas for process improvement.

• Monitor equipment safety and discard non-compliant items.

• Keep measurement equipment accurate through calibration and repairs.

• Interpret engineering drawings and radiographs.

• Compile statistical quality data for decision-making.

• Contribute to test method development and inspection plans.

• Perform root cause analysis for product defects and reworks.

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

This position typically reports to a supervisor and involves working under limited supervision.
