Tax Manager - Family Wealth Services

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Tax Manager to join our Family Wealth Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax management, preferably with a CPA certification, and a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations surrounding individual, trust, estate, and high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all tax-related functions for our Family Wealth Services clients, including tax planning, preparation, and filing for individual, trust, and estate tax returns.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to high net worth individuals and families, maximizing tax savings and minimizing liabilities.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting.
  • Collaborate with legal and financial advisors to develop comprehensive tax strategies for clients.
  • Review and approve all tax documents and filings prepared by junior staff members.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their tax-related questions and concerns, providing exceptional client service.
  • Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impacts to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or EA certification is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in tax management, preferably with experience in fiduciary, trust, estate, and individual tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, especially those related to high net worth individuals and families.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
