Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage and oversee all phases of the mechanical construction process, from pre-construction to project closeout.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage project teams, including project engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- Prepare and submit change orders, invoices, and financial reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and adherence to quality standards.

- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the job site.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for inspections, permits, and approvals.
- Generate regular reports on project status, costs, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- LEED Accreditation or other relevant certifications are a plus.
