Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice (Technical Lead B). This role will support the production team to achieve plan by continuously improving on process efficiency and line performance.

 

Reporting Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $28.00 / hour
Shift Differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule
Monday - Friday 6:00 am – 4:00 pm
Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to operators in team resolution process
  • Complete repairs to equipment as necessary
  • Communicate with production lines about machine down time and identified issues 
  • Train at each machine center and assist other team members
  • Assist with break coverage and machine operation as needed or as assigned by shift resource; this will be a member of the operations group and as such the expectation is that this role needs to be able to support all machine centers as needed
  • Work with a sense of urgency to repair and startup lines as quickly as possible
  • Develop a working knowledge of basic maintenance principles
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated safe work habits 
  • Solid background in all aspects of mechanical maintenance 
  • Reading and use of blueprints and technical manuals 
  • Preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repair, troubleshooting using a data driven systematic approach, rebuilding equipment, lifting, rigging, lubrication. 
  • Using hand and specialty tools 
  • Understanding and use of precision measurement
  • Must be proficient with TPM and the principles of AM and PM
  • Must be flexible to support business needs, able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime; and to be able to work (On Call) in emergency situations
  • Motivated self starter, self learner with the ability to work in a team and/or independent environment
  • Ability to be self-managed, scheduling and performing work, often unsupervised
  • Computer skills and ability to utilize SAP work order system
  • Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time, bend, stoop and climb
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day
  • Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
