District Executive

The Greater St. Louis Area Council, one of the largest in the nation, has over 23,000 members and nearly 10,000 adult volunteers from 51 counties in Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and the St. Louis Metropolitan areas. The council is headquartered in St. Louis and has offices in Fairview Heights, IL, Herrin, IL, Cape Girardeau, MO, and Decatur, IL.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a District Executive located in Decatur, IL. The District Executive will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, supporting fundraising efforts, growing the scouting movement, and delivering Scouting programs in the community.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in program management and coordination
• Ability to recruit, train, and mentor adult volunteers
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies and event planning
• Passion for working with youth and developing leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in the Scouting program is a plus, but not required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
