Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist that is hand therapy certified to join our healthcare team. We are a four-physician practice specializing in problems and sports injuries of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, shoulder, and lower extremities (knee, ACL, meniscus, cartilage, and hip.) As an Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. Your main role will involve assessing patients' functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing interventions to enhance their quality of life.

Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being

- Create personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals

- Provide occupational therapy services in an outpatient setting

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as Physician Assistants and orthopaedic specialists to optimize patient outcomes

- Offer occupational health guidance and ergonomic recommendations to promote safe work environments

- Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on improving daily living skills and enhancing independence

- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication

- Ensure high-quality patient service through compassionate and empathetic interactions

Experience:

- Previous experience working in hand therapy is highly desirable

- Familiarity with orthopaedic practices is a plus

- Proficiency in EMRs would be advantageous

- Strong background in outpatient occupational therapy services

- Knowledge of medical terminology and its application in clinical practice

- CHT is required

Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
