  • Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address any deficits.
  • Provide Education and Training: Educate residents, family members, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies to promote independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy: A Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • State Licensure: Current licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of Kansas is required.
  • Experience in Long-Term Care: Prior experience in long-term care is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
