Accounts Payable SpecialistWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in River Falls, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and compliance with governmental regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the smooth operation of financial functions.Responsibilities:Reconcile accounts and conduct detailed reviews to ensure financial data is accurate and reliable.Prepare billing statements and correspondence related to accounts receivable and payable.Process sales tax payments, manage debt collections, and handle uncollectible accounts in compliance with policies and regulations.Maintain and update payroll manuals and procedural guides for day-to-day operations.File bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports while ensuring W-2 information is accurate.Assist in monitoring and maintaining banking and investment accounts.Complete monthly bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.Collaborate with Finance and Human Resources departments to document and refine payroll procedures.Generate special reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as requested.*Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.Requirements:Proven experience in accounts payable and financial reconciliation.Proficiency in account coding, invoice processing, and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations, including federal and state compliance.Familiarity with Tyler Technologies Munis or similar financial software systems.Ability to audit invoices against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies promptly.Skilled in preparing fiscal data for budget creation and financial reporting.Hands-on experience with check runs and managing purchase orders.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when handling financial documentation.
