DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This internship offers a unique opportunity for practical engagement within the Agriculture Veterinary Lab, allowing the intern to immerse themselves in real-world applications of scientific research. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the analysis of antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) data related to Salmonella and pathogens affecting bovine respiratory health, as well as the opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics and high-throughput testing methodologies. Additionally, the intern will play a vital role in essential laboratory functions such as managing inventory and implementing innovative sample pooling techniques, thereby enhancing their technical skills and establishing a solid groundwork in veterinary diagnostics.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements:
- Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor‘s degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:
- Pre-Veterinary Medicine
- Biological Science
- Physical Science
- Environmental Sciences
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
