The Logistics Transportation Manager position will oversee and manage various aspects of loading, operations, transportation and logistics execution processes. Also will oversee the transportation delivery and monitor shipments tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics transportation loading and operations to ensure efficient and timely execution of shipments
  • Oversee on-time delivery compared to required delivery dates (RDD) and appointments, including Customer Service Representative (CSR) interactions and Track & Trace activities
  • Analyze, communicate, and provide resolutions for operations and planning issues to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Monitor shipment tracking and verify in-transit information, including customer appointments, to proactively address any delays or issues
  • Identify pending operational issues in regions/bases and collaborate with stakeholders to establish solutions, business processes, operation guidelines, and inspection standards for each type of logistics
  • Improve operations through on-site and off-site training initiatives for logistics staff
  • Troubleshoot special requirement operations and transportation issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize disruptions
  • Prepare and deliver required weekly, quarterly, and monthly reports on transportation operations and performance metrics
  • Manage and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required to support decision-making and strategic initiatives

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of Proven experience in logistics transportation management, with a focus on operations execution and performance optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex logistics data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, including the development and implementation of logistics processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics tracking tools
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook
  • Experience in preparing and delivering reports and presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work
