This is a property accounting position with a few corporate tasks included.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties within the commercial/office portfolio.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with property management and asset management teams.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash management reports for review.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Review tenant lease agreements to ensure accurate billing and adherence to lease terms.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (experience with Yardi or MRI is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
