ABOUT THE JOB

As the New Product Introduction Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, tooling strategies, and special programs within our organization.


  • Develop and implement effective NPI methodologies, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth part transfer to operations
  • Oversee tooling design and development to ensure alignment with part requirements and timeline
  • Maintain and improve methods of manufacture, focusing on part families and key control characteristics, in close collaboration with production and quality teams
  • Determine and document visual acceptance criteria aligning with customer expectations while ensuring consistent application throughout production
  • Conduct part qualification activities including PPAP submissions through evaluating First Article Inspections (FAIs) and capability evaluations for new and existing parts
  • Collaborate with quality, sales, and customer teams to resolve non-conformities and ensure successful part qualification
  • Efficiently execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) when necessary while conducting proper implementation and documentation
  • Prepare and participate in Customer Part Audits, addressing concerns and finding mutually satisfactory solutions
  • Inform manufacturing engineers of method changes and alterations in acceptance criteria


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science field or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience within a related industry
  • 2 years (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in Data Analysis, with the ability to interpret and draw meaningful insights from complex data sets
  • Exceptional at Problem-Solving, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent Communication Skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey technical information to diverse audiences
  • Effective Project Management, delivering results within set timelines and budgets
  • Initiative and drive to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Tools and Equipment used in the manufacturing process
  • Knowledge in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Sound understanding of Cost Analysis methodologies and the ability to drive cost-saving initiatives
  • Strong command of Quality Control methodologies and principles
  • Ability to foster Teamwork and Collaboration, working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
