The Distribution Center General Manager oversees all operational and administrative aspects of the Distribution Center (DC). Their responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Company guidelines, policies, and federal and state regulations. The General Manager is accountable for achieving performance goals in safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. Additionally, they lead and develop their team while executing supply chain strategies and driving continuous improvement within the facility.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Safety: Establish and maintain a safe work environment, minimizing OSHA recordable incidents and Auto Chargeable Incidents.
  2. Quality: Ensure accurate physical inventory through Standard Operating processes and scheduled bin count audits. Timely processing of returned goods and customer credits.
  3. Delivery: Collaborate with drivers and warehouse staff to achieve on-time and complete deliveries.
  4. Cost Management: Review and manage DC cost productivity, optimizing labor and delivery costs per unit handled and delivered. Align with monthly and annual budget plans.
  5. People Development: Lead talent development within the DC. Implement recruitment, selection, training, and performance evaluation strategies. Foster a positive work culture.
  6. Compliance: Ensure full adherence to OSHA, DOT, ADA, and other regulatory requirements. Uphold Company health and safety policies.
  7. Team Leadership: Conduct regular meetings with staff, address issues, and communicate updates. Provide expertise in inventory control and share performance reports with key partners.
