What we need

 

We are looking for a Senior Demand Planner to support a successful and rapidly growing business with trusted brands. Overall purpose of the role: Create demand plans from client and sales department forecasts. Purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. 

The position will be responsible for managing & planning multiple SKUs with our US & China Team, along with inventory management and demand forecasting for assigned product lines. The position will work in conjunction with sales, marketing, and end clients to identify demands, product priorities and allocations. You will plan, monitor manufacturing and shipping to measure progress by established standards of performance as well as monitor supply inventories through computer information systems such as NetSuite (ERP) to meet required customer demand. You will interface with all support departments and customers daily to stay abreast of changes and to communicate needs, priorities, and realistic product availability. This team leadership role functions as a single point of contact for issues of product status, product quantities and time of delivery. This is an onsite position based in our Lawrenceville, Georgia office.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays
  • Collaborate with R&D, Procurements, Marketing, Operations and Finance in developing forecast for new items, promotions, and end of life items
  • Ability to align forecast to shifts in demand to improve customer in-stock levels
  • Develop annual, monthly and daily demand plans and forecast for online business
  • Minimize inventory exposure through accurate demand planning and detailed root cause analysis of inventory status.
  • Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
  • Coordinate and conduct customer specific weekly CPFR meetings
  • Manage statistical forecasts and inventory demand plans and align according to KPI metrics
  • Manage capacity plans to ensure sufficient allocation to support inventory demand plans within a global supply chain
  • Manage multiple SKUs with short life spans, typically averaging 6 – 8 months
  • Manage long range planning and execute New Product Launch and End of Life strategy
  • Manage S&OP process to review KPI performance, sales, forecasts, purchase plans/orders, risks, and opportunities to better align sales plans with operational plans
  • Manage procurement analytics to ensure accurate data is reflected on reports
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications

 

Preferred Skills and Industry Experience



  • Ability to assess issues from both legal and business perspectives to: clearly define risks; clearly articulate positions; create and project manage action plans related to inventory
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated abilities in production planning, researching, responding to, and resolving sales order, logistics, product allocation and shipping inquires and other related issues within a global supply chain
  • Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills and the ability to get things done

 

 Requirements


  • Qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing planning/management in a global supply chain (Asia preferred) environment, scheduling, inventory control, sales order allocation, product distribution and global shipping.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and existing team leadership experience
  • Results-driven and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be articulate, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic
